WHY THE AR-15?

For a variety of reasons, the AR-15 is one of the most widely used sporting rifles. Here are the major causes in our opinion.

In contrast to some of the military variants’ automatic/select fire capabilities, the civilian AR-15 is a semi-automatic rifle. As a result, when you pull the trigger, you will only hear a single PEW! rather than a continuous stream of PEW! PEW! PEW! until you let go with a fully automatic weapon.
Admit it—holding the emblem of American might has a slight cool factor.

AR-15

When using its standard 5.56x45mm round, the AR-15 has very little recoil. Moreover, it is quite ergonomic in comparison to other well-liked rifles like the AK-47.

The lower receiver and upper receiver are the two biggest components of the AR-15.

The AR-15 may serve as both a long-range precision rifle and a close-quarters battle (CQB) carbine by simply swapping out the “upper” and mating it with the “lower.”

One lower can have many uppers to fit any role without the need for additional documentation as only the lower is the serialized firearm.  In most cases, you can swap out the upper for even other calibers, from the.22LR to the.300 BLK and even the.50 Beowulf. The lower houses the trigger mechanism.

Additionally, there are a ton of aftermarket items available to alter the AR-15’s appearance, feel, and functionality to fit your preferences and intended purposes.

There is, however, a persistent perception (particularly online) that having too much, probably needless, gear on your rifle turns you into a “mall ninja” or makes you appear overly “tacticool.”
My belief is that you should do anything you want as long as it’s safe and legal because it’s your money and your gun. But the aforementioned AR might have gone a bit too far!
